  What the hell is the MATTER with these people?

  i work nights so when i get off i'll run by walmart to grab something to make for breakfast or just if i need something or whatever.

  this morning at 6:55 (i know because i looked at my watch) a little black girl maybe 7 years old came up to me by herself to offer me a tract... i mean come on it's still full freaking dark out and this poor little kid is handing out tracts alone.

  i asked her "where are your parents.

  hey friends,.

  for those of you who know him, i just can't stop obsessing over this yet, and feel the urge to share, our lovable resident hippie (i can say that 'cause i mean it in a positive way and i adore him, so there), openfireglass, has shorn his dreads.

  he gave himself a haircut yesterday and the dreadlocks are no more.. it was a surprise that i came home to after work yesterday.

  A lot of us have faced what you're going through. OK, so it's different for everyone, and a lot of us stave off the fears for years after leaving, but you're not alone in having these feelings. Truly.

  When you're conditioned that the JW's are the only way to live, and that everything else is inconsequential and bogus, then when you leave the JW's it doesn't alter the feeling that everything else has no value. Everything (emotions, people, relationships, your own personal judgement etc) are still not to be trusted.

  It's taken me 30 years to discover this fallacy. I hope you can get the support and help to get you through this much more quickly!
